I bought the tractor 2 years ago. former owner have used pure hydraulicoil on the transmission. He used Statoil hydraway HVXA 32 on the transmission. Is it posibilty to use this kind of oil on the hydraulic/transmission ??
Hydraulicoil doesnt have the additives that improve the hydrodynamic film buildup between high pressure gear contact. Its cheaper than UTTO because its a lesser product. Its not suitable to lubricate transmissions. Better than water though...
If you drain the transmission, 70% of the hydraulic fluid will be out of the system. When mixing the last few liters of VG 46 hydraulic oil with 80w/90 gear oil, UTTO is more or less what you get (an oil with additives for both gear lubrication and anti-foam additives for hydraulic systems)
So dont worry about getting the last 5 liters out. It will mix just fine.
