I have a 1981 Zetor Tractor 4 cyclinder 65hp and I have put some diesel in which contained water, have drained all the diesel out of the tank but she still wont start, do I need to bleed the system and if so, how? please help
Barbara
Have you made sure that you have got ALL the water out of the system ? is there any in the sight glass by the fuel pump?
Have you taken the filters apart and replaced the elements ? this is always advisable in these cases.
To see how to bleed the system look at the post for April 2nd. If the water got as far as the Injector pump then you will have to take the Injector pipes off the injectors and preferably the pump as well and blow them clean, and then crank until diesel comes out of the injector pump without water or air, then replace the pipes but leave the injector end nuts slack and crank again until diesel comes out past the nuts. then do them up and all should be well.
