1987 Zetor 10111 40kph, duncan cab
As above what are they genuinely like? I personally dont know of any or seen one in the flesh where I live in Cornwall UK. I like the look of them much so the one with updated cab. I remember reading that the clutch went when on test for profi magazine and heard from someone who demoed one the gear changes weren't exactly smooth sounded much like the old crystal if you got it wrong. Never see one for sale is that because barely any were sold I wonder? I do think they are a bit dated in terms of the manual transmission and weak backend, personally I reckon Zetor need to pull their finger out and stop playing about with 4 cylinders focis abit more on the 6 cylinders offer a powershift and vario transmission with 50kph to even entertain the idea of competing in the market sounds very much like when they sold the manufacturer rights to the original crystals to ZTS to focus on the UR1 series.no good thinking everyone wants a no frills tractor now as everyone I know has nearly every option box ticked. Would like to think others would agree with me on that. Cheers

I have one on demo but it was back in 2021. It was a lovely tractor, I have a HSX, so I was comparing it to it. Eventhough it was a new tractor without any number plates it already had fault codes up and warning lights on the dash. But it was the 40k eco box was annoying, as I couldn't drive flat out when met a hill without dropping a split. It didn't real big tractor as I also demo a 150HD. This tractor was waiting to be fitted with a front PTO to work a set of triples

Hello Stephen.

Have you read this?

I think the current Zetor Crystal was a mistake, or to put it more politely: a fig leaf.
It has a rear axle that is too weak and the transmission in general was a mistake in my opinion. @Renze can also tell you a thing or two about this.

After the Maxterra development was abandoned (in my opinion one of Zetor's biggest mistakes in modern times) the New Crystal (I ask you, a new series with only one model and a transmission that is too weak?) could have made the leap into today's middle class if they had already opted for the better ZF transmission and actually allowed the "series" to flourish with 160, 195, 220 and 240 hp.

I'm really excited to see whether Zetor manages to convert the current model range to Deutz + ZF transmissions and Carraro axles AND bring a Series 7 with 6 cylinders and 160 to 240 hp onto the market. Unfortunately, I'm not so sure at the moment.

Just read it and some interesting things were said. Totally agree dropping the maxterra was a bad idea atleast then Zetor could of had a foot in the door of the higher hp bracket, now they would have to come out with a bloody good reason to buy one over the competition and being cheaper wont be good enough as if that was the case no one around me would be running fendt or john deere. Seeing the photos of the inside of that prototype cab didn't give me much joy, I hope its different when (if) it comes out as I wouldnt be happy seeing the bottom of the gearstick all the time as makes it look cheap and unfinished. Atleast the hydraulic spool levers look better and more ergonomic than the old forterra style (I dont know what they are like on the pininfarina designed ones as I have not been near one) where the electronic spool controls will go I dont know best place I would say is taken up by where the what I presume are the PTO controls are aslong as they dont drop that option as I have always thought it was stupid having to buy a HD to get electric spools as opposed to just buying a HSX with them, Also hope it could be mounted to the arm rest like everyone else has with all the other functions other wise it'll be like driving a TM New Holland. They really need to sort something out other wise I can see them going. I know here in the UK it's going to be hard to stay in the market with Zetor UK going bust next to no dealers (Grateful for my local one) and I think they only sold 10 maybe less tractors last year. All the dealers I know of have a second brand like Kioti to keep afloat. I am looking to buy a bigger tractor to go contracting with would of liked a Zetor but there isn't one available that ticks all my boxes so to speak, the crystal is close but the weak back end is putting me off and the fact I cant find one for sale to guage price ( It will be a second hand one) so I am either going to end up with either a New Holland or tier 3 MF 6400 series. Shame as we've only had the zetors as main tractors (6945 & 10111 dad was in the forestry trade so didnt need a big tractor and do all our own repairs) after replacing the Nuffields. Hopefully see this new one this year as if timings right I might be able to get a demo just to see for my self as you will only hear the bad from people as they love bashing Zetor. But the 6 cylinder upto 240hp bracket needs concentrating on alot. Think someone should go to the Zetor factor and change the 1976 calander on the wall to a 2025 one that might make them realise we're in the 21st century, But we'll see.

As far as I know there is a second hand one for sale in Ireland. It's in a main dealer. It's a 170HD.
Is that Brogan tractors one as theres no price and would rather not ring up then get hounded with phone calls afterwards about buying it. Had that once when I was interested in a new L200
