Hi, like all the 6718s that I can find in google images mine needs a repaint. Would I be cast out of vintage tractor shows if I painted it the wrong colour?
What are the right colours? Currently there seem to be the following colours...
Red - body panels
Red - engine
Gold - things bolted to the engine
Grey/cream - cab frame
Unknown - front axel, steering linkage engine underside and rear gubbins
What about stickers?
I've seen them in blue on YouTube and in red with a black cab. I like the red and I quite fancy the gold but how important is it to stick to the original colours?
Engines werent red, unless it has gotten a new shortblock that was delivered with just primer, no topcoat.
Wheels, mudguards and bonnets are red, the shade they used from 71 to 80 or 81
the gold is the whole chassis including the cab frame, the shade is a bit greener than the 3011 generation.
