Hi.

Have just registered and read through various pages/topics on this site. Looking for any information and advice about Zetor 14145's.

Is this a true Crystal? Whats the difference between the 14045 and 14145? How much would I be looking to pay for one etc....

Regards

Yes its a true Crystal. Its a downtuned version of the 16045/16145

The 1 series came optional with the 40 km/h 16 speed overdrive transmission, instead of the 30 km/h 12 speed like the 16045

The designation 14045 was originally used on the UR4 prototype with the 7.3 liter long stroke engine in the late 70's, however the UR4 models werent produced untill early 90's at ZTS in Slovak, who built the Crystals from 1981 onwards. There was also a 9045 UR4 prototype built.

Thanks Renze for clearing that up a little.

Did notice the cab of the 14145 looks slightly different than the 14045. Any reasons as thought the generous cab was one of the Crystals sought after points?

How much would a 14145 be worth in various conditions?

Regards

The 14145, in fact all the "1" Crystal types in UK had a different cab to the 12045 etc, I think it was british built, and was definately narrower and shorter than the older Zetor cab.

What differences is there between 12045 and 16045 ? Is it only the turbo?

Its the Holset turbo, and turbo head gasket and valves, with higher heat resistance.
Furthermore, the 1st gear was left out of the 16045 because it would overload, making it a 12/6 transmission.
With the 40 km/h overdrive models, all gears moved up a place to make room for the overdrive: 2, 3, 4, and overdrive. This way they got 16 speeds again without using this particular set of gearwheels.
