Hello,

I've recently bought a 3045 to restore. The main problem with it is that the clutch pedal has dropped to the floor and wont dissengage the clutch. It seems as if the clutch fork has slipped . . . . . Any ideas what would cause this.

I've started to split the tractor to investigate but it looks as if I have to drain the oil and remove the sump. The back 3 bolts seem to thread into the bell housing. Is this true, or can i seperate it without removeing the sump?

Thanks in advance

Owain

p.s great forum :)

hi
The cose of your problem cold be a broken fork, cluchfinger or butrescap or your relesebearing cold be colapsed take the hatsh on the left side of to se inside, fingers and butrescaps can be replased tro the openig. If you must split you dont nead to drop the sump.

Thanks for the info. I've split the tractor and it seems to be a case of a poorly repaired cluch arm and two other very worn clutch arms. Also the thrust bearing is worn out and seems to be catching twisting the carridge that the fork rests on.
Hopefully I can get all these parts :)

Hopefully I can get all these parts :)
You can even get a full set of new gears for these transmissions. So normal wear parts shouldnt be even less a problem.
