My hi/low shift seems to be broke it just moves back and forth freely. I took the boot off and it looks like it goes in side of transmission. It moves freely on the outside, would this be an easy fix or hard. Thanks for your help .

First take a look at the little pin:

make sure its on its place.

If it is then I think you hav to remove number 18 and check ...

number 51

Ok then you have to open the main gear box and take a look inside. Its not a big thing... :)

  1. Remove floor mats

  2. Remove middle floor panel,

to do this the lower panel of the steering column must also be removed

  3. Remove left floor panel as well (5 screws)

  4. Remove gearshift dome (4 screws)'

  5. Remove manual transmission cover - remove all screws

and then lift the cover slightly at the front and first pull slightly to the left side and then lift it out
Installation in reverse order.

You may need a new manual transmission cover gasket or fluid seal and two new gearshift dome gaskets as well as some Loctite (medium strength screws) and possibly a few new spring washers.
In addition, other spare parts may be required depending on the situation.
