Hi! New forum member here, I own a zetor 5211 with cab and A/C.

I wanted to go ahead and post about a stuck clutch problem I had, in case anyone else had the same problem.

I let the tractor sit for only two weeks, and the clutch got stuck in the engaged position... pedal would go down, but clutch wouldn't release. I read about the master and slave cylinder problems, and went ahead and replaced those, but no luck.

After reading on this forum and others, I decided the next best course of action would be to try to break it free. I learned about the lubrication port for the release mechanisim? on the left side of the transmission, and will admit, I have never lubricated it because I didn't know about it.

I poured about 2oz of marvel mystery oil in there followed by some engine oil, and let it sit overnight. Then I opened the little access plate there on the left side of the bell housing, and gave it a good blast of brake cleaner.

I then blocked the clutch pedal down, and put it in high range high gear and rocked the tractor back and forth with a chain attached to my truck, alternating between high forward and reverse gear between every few jerks. If you do this, be sure to have the engine in the stop position so it doesn't start.. I could see the engine turning as I lightly jerked the tractor.

That didn't work, so it put it in high 3rd and held the clutch pedal down, and started it, and it took off. While holding the clutch pedal down, I drove around the neighborhood, and about 1/4 mile later, I felt the tractor start coasting on it's own. Clutch worked fine from there on, and its been a few weeks.

I sure thought it was a major problem, but it turned out to be just lack of lubrication. I posted hoping this can be of use to someone.

Also, I want to thank the members of this forum that I have used so much over the years for taking time to post, and also thank Renze for his clear and concise answers. We live in a good era with the knowledge of people on the internet combined at our fingertips.

You were lucky when it was in gear and had no clutch that when it started you didn't crash into something or someone.

Hi Texas,

I had the small issue with my 5211 and almost tore the door off my shed. To fix the we pulled the tractor around in 5th gear with the switch off. It broke free fairly quickly. I have had this to happen twice.
