My 6245 is now having to work and is getting too hot It goes to the edge of the green and not quite the red. The rad cap is lifting, its the one that was on the tractor, its marked as 30kPA, which I reckon is only 4.3psi, it sounds a bit low.

Is the rad really clean?
Hose or better pressure washer (on lower setting if possible) from the 'wrong' side, it's always amazing how much kak comes out.

Hmm how much degrees is that ? i think 100°C is a quite normal operating temperature in the summer heat. I try to keep it below 110 but our 6718 never runs hotter than 110 even if it's under continous load at 35C outside temperature

4wd has a good idea w/ presure washing rad {on low

presure setting } you could try opening the petcock at bottom of

rad,and flushing rad by running low presureized water through

as well. Your local parts store will have rad flush. Give it a try,

and if still having problem try replacing thermostat. thermostat is

between the rad hose connected to engine on top side.

thermostat is round w/ spring in side of it.

good luck timber
