Does anybody know the correct connections for changing the old round 5 pin flasher relay to the newer 6 pin square? Some of the numbers on the new relay are the same as the old but matching these up does not work? So I need to know which colour goes to which number...

If anyone can tell me where I can get a wiring diagram for a Zetor 6245 that would be great also.

Hey Darren,
Old round flasher is bimetal type, and new one is electronic. Electronic flashers need ground connection, when bimetal ones don't.
Here is description of numbers/letters on flasher unit, and their meaning.
49 - supply
49a - outgoing, towards direction switch
C - signal lamp for tractor direction light
C2 - signal lamp for first trailor direction light
C3 - signal lamp for second trailor direction light
31 - ground

Probably you need to connect just ground, and it will work. Ground connection can be on ear (if it is metal) where is fixing point.
Check numbers, and post it, and I'll try to help you.

Thanks ZJ,

Flashers work fine now! Thanks for the info, I should have guessed the sixth pin was for something important like the earth!

My next problem is the Horn/Brake Lights/Main Beam Flash circuit is dead?

Fuse #1 is OK and the connections seem to lead to another relay next to the flasher. Do you know if this relay is likely to be the problem? If so I will pick a new one up from my dealer.

Hmm, I don't have circuit diagram of Zetor . But, lights are switched by key. Uninterrupted supply from battery, via key switch, go to fuses and to lamps. This models can have relay, because of combi switch on left side, but not sure. Listen can you hear "click" from relays when switching direction/light lever.
>Maybe combi switch is broken?
