Thinking of purchasing a 6245.

It has a LEON 6911 loader on it. It has 2134 hours on it.

It's a 1986.

I'd appreciate any insight that you might be able to offer. Anything I should look for?

I've read mixed reviews on the tractor. Obviously I'm coming to this forum because I want the good, the bad and the ugly.

Thanks in advance!

clutch and brake master cylinders: They are about 70 euro and if the original ones from PAL are still fitted, they need replacement at around 3000hrs usually. They had a cylinder coating that let loose so dont put in a new set of seals, because the liner will make it leak again. The newer ones are of Fragokov brand.

They sometimes double shift but your dealer can install a modification kit (or you can do it yourself if youre handy)

The good: the front axle is comparable to the one on a wheeled loader. very strong. (that is, if it has the heavy planetary axle, in some countries they sold the light duty 5245 front axle with pinion/ring gear reduction on the 6245 too but its not that heavy.

Water pumps sometimes fail but i buy them for 25 euro ex post.

The tractor itself is heavy duty, and the parts that sometimes fail are cheap in the aftermarket.

I do need two new master brake cylinders but here in NZ they more often than not ask pharmacy prices. Where do you get them from?

Thanks Renze,

I'm trying to post a picture of the one I'm looking at but seem to get a "conflict" error.
