Zetor 6340 stuck in reverse

I just came into possession of a Zetor 6340 that is jammed between gears & will only go in reverse. Any thoughts how to get it unstuck? I noticed this problem on a different model on your forum....i this common?

:sneaky:Do you think this is a similar set-up to that model, I can check into it. My tractor does not have a cab, but it does have a center cover plater where the shifting lever goes to the transmission...

6340 and 6245 have the same basics. cabless models are the same as well, except for the upframe. The platform of non cabbed tractors is just the lower part of a cab

I have taken the floor cover off. I discover the 5 bolt heads in a row, the sequence is 1, space,2,3,4,5, a little different that the arrangement stated in the other man's situation. I tried removing the 4th bolt and pushing down but I am not getting the result I'm hoping for, could I be doing something inaccurately here? Any other ideas? Should I take the approach the other man did removing the shifter lever? What is it I would look for in doing this? Thank you, Naboth

You have to push hard on the slide rod. there is no lever on top to make it easier... I used to have a screwdriver with a bent head to push the last bit.

Hi Renze, I got the tractor out of being stuck in reverse......I engaged it into a forward gear and it worked fine, however when I put it into reverse, there it stayed.:sneaky: I read what was written about the access port on thee cover, this seems like a tedious function for every time I use reverse, might there be something mechanically wrong that would account for this? I guess the tractor hasn't had this history up to now.... Naboth???

If this occurs frequently you need to fit the modification kit. Dealers can sell it for about $15 and it needs an hour or 3 to install. Then it will never occur again. Our 5245 didnt do it anymore for the last 4 years.
