Zetor 6718 unable to select 4th/5th gear

In your picture where you typed "the shaft appears to split here" thats correct, you can pull out the top shaft forward, out of the bulkhead. It might need some tapping and fiddling to get it out.

Is not the gear behind [/]the bearing/bulkhead attached to the shaft, it looks that in the [url=http://www.oldleawharf.co.uk/imagez/DSC05171-x.jpg]manual[/]. The circlip holding bearing is behind, and the bearing will only come out towards transmission housing.

I looked the manuals and compared: Indeed the 3011 looks a bit different than the 6718, the 3011 shows two circlips holding the bearing, where the 6718 seems to have a machined chest against which the bearing rests ?

Anyways, if you split between rear axle and gearbox, you can undo the bolts and slide it right out. Only to remove the reduction gear layshaft you need special tools (which i hand made because i couldnt buy them anywhere)
