I have just purchased a Zetor 7711 tractor from a retired gentlemen. The tractor has 1100 hours on it but it has a clutch problem. The clutch will not disengage. The master cylinder, fluid levels all check out. If I idle the tractor doen the clutch will disengage when I push the petal to the floor.???

I would appreciate any input you guys might have on what needs to be done.

Thanks

hi
have you checked both cylinders for leaks
or maybe
it's stuck if not used for a time:sneaky:

Thanks for the response! - both cylinders check out ok. Some one sayed that the throw out bearing has worn through the pressure plate. I don't think that is the case. I can see the fingers and they look ok. I do see some of the fingers having different gap settings from the pressure plate. Three of the fingers are for the pto clutch. they look the same. It is the three fingers for the main clutch that appear off. I am working on splitting the tractor now to see for sure what is going on. How exactly to these arms pivot?

Is it true that this clutch system is self adjusting? Can I set up a new newclutch at home or do I need to take it to a dealer for proper setting?

More questions.
Thanks, selim

Most likely one of the toggle lever (finger) pivots has burst through if there is different clearences to the release bearing it will be the one with the largest clearance that will have burst they can be replaced through the inspection hole without splitting the tractor. When adjusting lever clearance set the same as the other two that has not burst

Clutch mechanism is stucked :sneaky: I had same with my 7711 wich was used only summer times.

Put L3 gear on and start the engine. Push clutch pedal down and press brakes as hardly as you can. It might help ! When clutch is nearly gettig slipping it will move clutch plate on its axle.

This did help for my 7711 each spring ;)
