Machinery:
Zetor 3340 with Cab and Loader 1995
The Hydraulic/Transmission oil looks dirty, and may not have been serviced for a long time now, so I want to service it.
I purchased this Zetor 3340 1999 with a shuttle-shift Transmission just this past February.
What kind Hydraulic/Transmission oil do I need for it?
Also what filters do I need for it too?

The engine oil was done back July 2022, so I would to to service the Z-5203 engine oil also.

I want change the front wheel oil too. I have never done any of those before too.

Any help and suggestions is very appreciated. :)

Gearbox/hydraulic = SAE 80W-90 API GL4 UTTO
Engine = SAE 15W-40 as default

Attention!
Frontaxle needs other oil and hydraulics steering to.

Hi Joachim,

I found this:
Oil for Front-Wheel-Drive Planetary Reduction Housing Oil = TAB 2 (2 x 0.20 Light or is it 2 x 0.50 heavy)
But I am not sure what it means.

Best use this one for your Carraro front axle:
SAE 80W-90 API GL-5 Hypoid LS

eg.:
Mannol SAE 80W-90 Hypoid GL5 LS
or Liqui Moly 4406 Hypoid GL5 SAE 80W-90 axle gear oil
or ESSO Torque Fluid 62

Important - it should be a LS (limited slip), GL5 and Hypoid (for differencial gearboxes) oil for your front axle.

Hi Joachim, Looks like this company does Not ship to the USA. I tried to register with them and they seem to only ship to your area in the world.
But thank you for posting it.

I am still looking for the proper oil.
Can I use the Tractor Supply: Traveller 5 gal. Gear Lube, SAE 80W-90 GL5 oil
https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/traveller-gear-lube-sae-80w-90-5-gal-t805468
for the Gearbox/hydraulic (gearbox and rear ends) ?

No, its not a good idea. No GL5 in the UR1 gearbox, only GL4 please.
Hi Joachim,
I am not able to find any affordable amount of GL-4 in the USA.
I looked up, what is the tech difference between them (GL-4 and GL-5).
I found info that about 5 years a go GL-4 was better as it had the newest additives back then.
But today it is saying GL-5 is better formulated now and so it is better to use.

I do not know what is correct at this point in time.
So I am Not able to purchase from Germany as they only sell in your neighborhood ONLY.
At this point in time it looks like my only option is to use GL-5.

GL 5 is "better" but in your old tractor, it can be it makes the synchronised shifting in gears 4 and 5 harder. And thats the point why its better to use a API GL4 instead of a API GL5.

I searched a little bit with google, and found as one of the first this oil:
Red Line 50505 MT-85 gearbox oil 75W85 GL-4

I think when you doesnt can find it online, you should ask Zetor .ua or a oil dealer for that. Possible, that this oil have an other declarartion on us market. I dont know.

I do not know if this would be a difference, but I have the Shuttle-Shift with the 5 speed transmission.

So I need about 10 gallons (Red Line oil) at a cost, before shipping and tax, is $90.60 a gal, times 10 = $906.00 for just 10 gals of oil.
That I can not do, that oil cost is to high.

I will continue to look for this oil.

Going to the SAE 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Oil, API GL-4 oils, I can find several options.
I can order Four 5gallon pails, which totals 20 gallons for $485.61 ($24.28 a gal)) delivered.

Can I use this oil for the Gearbox/hydraulic, Front-Wheel Planetary Reduction and Front Axle Differential Housing ?

For front axle, in your cas Carraro axle, best oil will be SAE 75W-90 API GL5 LS Hypoid to work proper/best with your multi-plate differential lock in that axle.

Stamdard SAE 75W-90 you can best use in gear box, rear end drives, steering gear box (but never in steering hydraulics ;) )

For the Front Axle (Front Axle Differential Housing), Cas Carraro Axle, I am looking at this oil here:
Fully Synthetic Hypoid Gear Oil GL4/5 75W-90, 1 Liter, 22090

Also will 1 Liter be enough for the Front Axle Differential Housing (Cas Carraro Axle) ?

It is a oil for hypoid gear boxes and a LS (low slip) marked oil?

Check the manual please ;) , I think for a complete front axle you need 4 oder 5 litres.

I used this:

I found this in the manual, Front Axle Differential Housing (Cas Carraro Axle): about 1.5 gallons (about 5.5 Liters)
Thank you !

I believe this is the same: Hypoid Gear Oil (GL5) SAE 85W-90, 1 Liter Can plastic $16.40
