What's up at Zetor and Zetor dealers?
This is the English verzion of the article we were trying to translate last year: http://node1.bvv.cz/i2000/Akce/b-agro.nsf/WWWAllPDocsID/BEXP-5XJLAJ?OpenDocument&LANG=GB&NAV=1&ID=0 It says that they are developing new tractors up to 160 hp to be introduced in 2006.... we will see... Also, it was in the news that there is a new subcompact coming from Zetor: with or without co-operation with a foreign company... ?? There were also rumors of a new vineyard and orchard version of the UR1 series. The 5441 Proxima was advertised but disappeared before the proxima series was actually sold. I suppose they wait to put that 3 cylinder UR3 engine in that subcompact/orchard/vineyard tractor alone. Also official news is that the Proxima is the...
Hey guys i found this article: http://www.agroweb.cz/projekt/clanek.asp?cid=17275 I translated parts of it, word by word, using slovnik.cz translation. It seems to say: ====..The Proxima range has wet lamella brakes for the 40 km/h version. A 50 km/h version will need front axle brakes to comply to the legislations.... (But will there ever BE a 50 km/h version ???) About the rumor about the Forterra range being lifted up to 160 hp making use of a new Zetor engine, Chief director of Zetor, ing. Vratislava Goje, says that we can welcome the new range of tractors within 2 years. The new engine will also be fitted in the Forterra range.??? For the models of 120 hp model 11741, this will make it unncessary to fit the Italian Same engine...
When I went to pick up my parts order from the Zetor dealer he told me what I already suspected-he was giving up the Zetor franchise to stick with Motokov UK and Landini! We will now have Zetors imported by a new company-Zetor UK hurrah!!! Lets hope they make it work. My ex-dealer told me he could still supply parts for me.The look on his face when I told him I could get my own parts from Slovakia and that I had got myself a parts catalogue was priceless;);)
folks, I have some updates and more details about the new Proxima range. The transmissions, apparently, are not UR3 Forterra based ones. The basic version comes with the classic UR1 10 forward / 2 reverse gearbox as known from the Super series. Another version is a 12/12 with shuttle reverser, maybe they have changed the reverse gear for an extra forward gear ?? the top version, not ready yet but coming, is 16/16 with two speed powershift. I doubt if that rumor about the UR3 rear end has any truth.. i think i was misinformed:(:sneaky:
http://zetorworld.com/news/newrange.html Thanks to a visitor of the zetorworld website, Rune from Norway, Zetorworld can show you the very first photos of the new Zetor Proxima range. The Proxima is the successor of the Super series, with a better standard equipment, an engine from the Forterra range, and more options to come. The engines are high torque 59 hp (three cylinder) 72, 79 and 87 hp (four cylinders with balance shafts) all with turbo, which have proven themself in the UR3 forterra range. Transmission variants are the 10/2 transmission as known from the super, a 12/12 shuttle shift, and later, a 16/16 shuttle reverser transmission with a 2 speed powershift will be added. About this 16/16 transmission, there are no further...
Proxima !! I had an e-mail yesterday from a dealer who was informed that the new Forterra based small Zetor series will be named Proxima. Quoting earlier information, the new series will have 3 and 4 cylinder engines based on the Forterra engines. The Super series will also get these engines, so all Zetors have engines from the UR3 family, with 105 mm bore and 110 mm stroke. Dutch dealers are hoping to be able to show it to the public at the Dutch agricultural fair in Zuidlaren, Drenthe, in the first week of December. It is not sure if it will make it on time for the show.. source: zetor.de/Produkte/Proxima.htm
I have just put this on the news front page: ======================= Several rumors, as well as official information is spread the last months about this new range, but dealers can confirm that there will be a new range introduced within autumn of 2003, to summer 2004. This range will be inbetween the UR1 Super models and the UR3 Forterra, to fill the price and technology gap between these two ranges. Official sources speak of a new range, standard with shuttle reverser transmission, based on the UR3 (Forterra) range. Also, rumors are that the UR3 based three cylinder engines will be fitted in the existing UR1 models, because of emission regulations. Using the UR3 platform in the smaller tractor ranges will improve the availability...
