Hi guys,
hoping for some help from someone on the seemingly never ending hydraulic saga on my 3045.
The symptoms are as follows:
with any 3 point weight the linkage struggles to lift until above 1500rpm and then surges as it looses the height, senses so and pumps to correct.
Its as if the...
the plastic resivoirs are readily available and have the advantage of not rusting!
With regards to rear lights, again they are pretty rare, i did see on the for sale forums on here some were available from finland?!? if not i did also hear that Barlows in the UK were having some reproductions...
drop box, prop shaft and front axle for these tractors are pretty rare. They all tended to get damaged since they are quite close to the ground. I have been told that it was possible to shatter the drop box casting if enough hay became wrapped around the shaft.
My drop box was also previously...
hi, think the forums misbehaving for a start!!
does anyone know if there are any differences between 3045 and 3545 gearboxes with regards to having 4wd in both high and low ranges?
and secondly if i pressure test the hydraulic system at the spool valve will this narrow down the problems im...
Hi, quick question; does the gearbox from a 3545 (more specifically a 3511) have 4wd in both high and low range? I am slightly frustrated by only having 4wd in high box on my 3045. Thanks
Brilliant Dave, thanks for the reply. Just to clarify though about the small wire. Does it run through the bulb or is the bulb in parallel? many thanks again, i've had the alternator on there for a long time but just never wired it in! Now i want to go ploughing in the dark!!!!
Hi, does anyone have the wiring diagram or explanation for the conversion to an alternator from a standard dynamo on 3011 please. The alternator is a Lucas. Thanks
how badly are the mudguards rusted? on my 3045 they were well beyond it before i spent a lot of time welding them up. they arnt perfect but they are solid. are you in england? if so i suggest Barlows of henbury for parts.
i had a similar problem with my 3045 when i did it up. Found the pump to be too complicated for me so i sent the pump and injectors to regency pumps (specialist in motorpal pumps) and they came back good as new and runs sweet as a nut. One dosent realise how important the pump and injector...
i have a similar problem with my 3045 hydraulics. The arms lift fine under no load but if you try and pick up an impliment they just wont pick it up.
i noticed some scoring to the hdraulic lift cylinder and piston when i renewed the seals, would this affect it or is it an o-ring somewhere else...
ok so this surging, how again is it solved? if anyone can explain in detail.
from what renze has said i am guessing its the tension of the spring you can see when you take off the little cover on top of the injector pump on the round govenor housing on the right hand side as you look at it.?>...
thanks again Dave,
when you say copper washer at the bottom of the tube, how close to the bottom is it actually? like 10mm up from the head face? should i go about changing these rather than the whole tube or do they go hand in hand?
Also do you have any advice on the fluctuating rev problem...
Very helpful both of you, thanks.
I am a bit confused as to why the head gasket would be leaking as its new but oh well, i am going to remove all the heads again and replace the injector sleeves.
Should the injectors be a tight fit in the sleeves? i.e. when they are pushed right down there is...
hi, thanks for the reply.
the spring in question, is it the one you can see when you take off the small square cover on top of the pump?
and i cant believe its a headgasket leak as it was a new one and the head studs arnt bottomless threaded into the block are they? could this be solved by...
hi, thanks to Dave P firstly for advice with the injector pump.
I just started her for the first time, she fired first time once blead! amazing really. but the main issues i have now are:
1; she hunts slightly, i.e. revs fluctuate up and down a bit. is this timing on the slotted injector pump...
Hi again!
i just bolted the pump back on and noticed that the mounting holes are slotted, i assume this is for fine tuning the timing? how critical is it and how would you go about doing this?
to be honest im a bit gutted coz i just got the rad and all waterways sorted, filled it with water and...
Many thanks Dave, thats put my mind at ease. I wasn't familier with the internals of these pumps either until i took one to bits! Still it needed doing as like i say both pumps were ceased in some way.
Anyway, i'll post when shes running for the first time!
Thanks again.
Chris
still seeking advice on this issue, someone must know if this is going to affect the pump. its kinda holding me up now and i dont want to put the pump back on and bugger the engine i just rebuilt.
Cheers
Chris
