The 3/4 Harland is an irrigation pump. At the speed mentioned it is pumping 600 litres per minute at 45PSI, 500 meters through a 25mm big gun travelling irrigator.

I reciently replaced the pump on my 7245 and had a simular problem. I ended up using a podgy bar under the pri-point and this got it. The oring seal seemed to be holding it up as well as the original gaskett. I hope this helps

It is interesting you say the 7245 is 72 HP as the namesake suggest. I have also on, the last of the series, a 92 modle and the owners manual suggest it is 68.5hp. My 9540 is 91.5 and my two 4712 are 45. Maybe they lost a few ponies crossing the pacific to Australia.

Do not run the thicker gear oil as it will cause all sorts of problems long term.
