I am having trouble accessing the blower motor. I was able to look at it from the outside through the filter and see that it is loose. How do I access it from inside the cab? Do I have to lower the entire ceiling console?
To gain access to the heaters undo the 5 bolts that are on the cab roof at the front & sides then lift the roof at the front (It is hinged at the rear) prop open safely! It may be stuck down on the rubber seal if it has not been opened recently.
You were right about the roof sticking a little, but I got in. I got into the blower compartment and found that the motor and fan just seem to be loose the fan is tight on the motor. I also looked at it by removing the air filter on the front. It looks to me like the motor is loose in its housing. I looked at the other one and it is very tight. There is a lot of play in the fan and motor front to back. Should I try and remove them both and see if the housing is broken? If it is broken and I can't repair it it looks like I would need to replace the entire box. What do you think? Maybe a hose clamp around the housing would tighten it up.
Hey guys, I finnaly fixed my blower motor. It is held in place with a plastic housing that had cracked. I took it in my kitchen and super glued it back together. I also noticed that there was a little tab still attached to the elec. motor that had broken off of the plastic housing, so I glued it also and reinforced it with a flattend out wire connector. After one test run it worked great. I hope it works well this winter blowing snow.
