I just changed the oil in my 5011 and after about 10 minutes of use the oil light came on. Could the oil filters be plugged up already, isn't there a filter pressure bypass valve for these anyway. no idea. I checked the dip stick and it is almost to the top mark.

Hi Zeek,

Forgive me for asking but have you checked all the obvious stuff, like is the Oil level is ok? Did you use the correct filter type and recommended oil viscosity, etc, etc?

same oil I have always used 15w-40, the level is good, checked again after the pressure dropped just to make sure it had enough.

Hi

Have you had the centrifugal filter apart and did you get it together okay ? It may just be the switch. You'll either have to put a gauge on it or try another switch.

Mike

The 5011 model dont have a sentrifugal filter mike. it has the double washable disc filters. id try a new oil pressure signal switch before trying anything else. they are known to go faulty after a couple of decades. good luck :)

a 5011 dont have sentrifugal filter, but does have a centrifugal filter;)

alright thanks for posting fellas, I unscrewed the low oil Pressure sending unit and put in a gauge and stated the 5011 and no pressure. I then unscrewed the gauge and left an open port and started the tractor up, no oil came out of the port, i waited for about 30 seconds and a little bit vibrated out but not enough to seam like there is any flow. I pulled the valve covers off and there doesn't seam like there is much flow happening. something is blocking the flow or its the oil pump. anyone know where the pump is and have a schematic or something. Thanks, the tractor only has 900 hours and has been only used for light loader work. I got it last year and have hardly used it. I never had this problem with the 5211 and put 8000 hours on it.

looks like its time to drain the oil and drop the sump , there should be a pick up pipe with a strainer on the end and an oil pump in there somewhere.... could be the pump... pickup pipe fallen off or dirt blocing the strainer.

just one thing before dropping the sump.... youve had the filters off and cleaned or replaced.. could be somethings blocked there.... id take off the oil filter and crank it over, with the fuel off, to see if oil will get as far as the filter housing.

thanks, I'll try popping off one of the filters and cranking it to see if something after the filters is blocking it.

I got oil pumping out of the loose filter, took the line off going to the block and it has oil, ran a wire through the ports from the oil inlet from the filter and must have dislodged something because now i have oil at the sensor port. I'll pull the valve covers off and make sure oil is flowing from the rockers and change the oil again and hope I'm done with low oil pressure. I also noticed a little play in the rocker arms and the push rods does any one know what the specs are for these. i also found two bent rods on the front cylinder due to a loose adjustment nut. have to find two rods if anyone knows where to get them.

older models: 0.2mm intake, 0.3 exhaust.
newer UR1 models, 5211 etcetera: 0.25 both intake and exhaust.
I dont know where the valve lash changed exactly, but i think its since the 9 series with the bigger intake valve.

I straightened the push rods and adjusted the valves to the same as the other ones. runs great now, lot more power and no smoke when not loaded.
