Cover back on-same old story-----worked when we first put it back together--now pto lever all the way forward lift works and pto spins------in any other position have no pto and no lift..I see no way it can be jumping a notch or anything like that going on inside once it is assembled....Any thoughts??

When we first put the cover on it acted right--checked it several times-killed it and wrestled with all the sheetmetal-got it all on and now same problem.

I have been reading about your problem for awhile now, seems like quite a head ache i wish i could help but i have no idea of ur problem sorry

Thanks Smash n machine, Yes this has been a pain--I got the tractor for only $1000--knew it had some kind of pto issue but knew even less about Zetors then than I do now--anyway figured it may just be an adjustment...My Brother In Law has David Brown tractors and from what he has told me they are set up similar to Zetor -he has been inside the David Browns front to back numerous times...He has helped me with this and we see nothing else to do--even as cheap as I got it I do not plan to put a lot of money into it..it is one owner(company I have worked for all my life) and is low hours but I think has had some hard use with contractor type box blade etc..honestly, around here Zetor is not known and nobody wants to work on them..Today will look at the pto clip-if it is ok I will haul it 30 miles to my Dads place where I can really work it bush hogging with blade spinning all the time--even have to crank the tractor with blade engaged..after that I will just have to decide--motor seems really good-hydraulics not 100% but work ok to use for what I want..brakes need disassembled and serviced(not easy chore from what I'm told) -- makes no sense for any manufacturer to put brakes inside where they are so hard to get to.....Thanks for your interest and input.
