Changed liner and piston ect, But can't seem to be able to start engine , primed hand pump can get fuel out of two small screws on pump BUT when trying to start, small button on pump won't stay in HAVE I PROBLEM. Fuel does not come up to injector pipes. PLEASE HELP ME ????
Is there plenty of fuel getting to the injection pump ? Take the pipe off to make sure.
Try taking the side plate off the inj pump and check the rack is moving freely. You may need to put some oil in the back of the pump if you've never checked it as they will sieze up .
Took side plate off inj pump and checked rack, yes you were right rack was very stiff, use plenty of penetrating fluid and engine oil, rack moving a lot better and diesel button clicking in only some times but tried to start tractor and yes diesel coming up to inj pipe tightened nuts and she fired up.Thanks very much great advice. Oil level in inj pump, filled top nut at back off pump until oil came out, am i right, there is another screw on top at the back of pump, should i put more oil in there. Also the screw behind lift pump, is that just for draining the old oil when filling with new?
on the 3545 i was told. thee is a bung under the lift pump this is for draining the oil and you fill where the small pipe comes from the side of the lift pump (just remove the pipe and use a oil can). and then ther is one on the rear of the pump really oyu cant miss them there is one on top of the other top one to fill bottom one to empty.
