Hello
Iam just about to buy an -83 Zetor 6045. It looks really nice and works out alright exept from one thing. The brakes are almost not working at all. From what i understand so is this a quite common problem. My question is where i should start the problem seeking. Are the brakes adjustable? can it be lack of brakefluid? or what other problems could it be???
Hopefully i will get som answers that will help me solve this problem. Thanks
Hi Daniel, The first thing to check is the brake fluid. (Reservoir under bonnet). If fluid is okay the problem is probably the master cylinders. If fluid is gone , look for external leak - (master cyls, pipes balance valve). You could try bleeding the brakes at the bleed screws in the top of axle each side where the pipes go into axle. If none of this helps you will have to have the axles off. There are no brake adjusters on drum brakes as the cylinders are self adjusting. Best of luck Mike
