Howdy folks, I just bougth this Zetor and it was starting and running great when I tried it and when it was delivered. It has the verticle muffler because of its front end loader and after I parked it, it is possible that maybe an inch of rain water ran down into it. I went to install a raincap and try to turn it on, but no luck, no smoke, but it did turn over. I lossened the back three injector lines and found no fuel going to them while cranking. I ordered the owners and shop manual for it and it showed how to purge air out of the fuel system by removing the bolt on top of the front of the injection pump and inserting the ignition key in. I did this and still no fuel going to injectors. I also did notice that upon pressing the hand pump there was hissing on the injector pump side withhout a hose clamp so I installed a hose clamp and it stopped the hissing, but when I pump it the glass filter shows some air and then appears to get full of fuel again. Please advise. Thank You

Hi

You don't say which country you are in but here in the UK we have an emergency stop cable fitted to the the throttle linkage on the pump. My point is, check the throttle linkage is opening the pump as the stop cable can disconnect it. If all is okay here check if fuel is reaching the injection pump at the pipe from the filters.

Oops, I'm from Texas, USA. Mike, the pump seems to have one cable from the throttle lever, and it seems to operate preoperly and I have checked that fuel is coming all the way up to the pump and out of the ""bleed hole" on top of the pump on the fore side. I wonder if it got disengaged from the compressor somehow or if I turned it off by accident. Is there a lever or switch that I might have bumped while pushing brush? Thanks again.

Hi Luis

There's nothing you could have disconected by mistake, unfortunately. It sounds like an injection pump problem. It's unusual for the drive to the pump to fail, but if you have to take the pump off check the drive is tight. There is a key on the gear on the front of the pump but i'd be suprised if that is your problem but you never know. The drive gear has a master spline so you needn't worry about timing. Just make a mark on the slotted holes so you put it back in the same position.

Good luck

Mike
