Hi
It appears that the rear left wheel of my 7745 does not turn freely. She can drive in reverse with no problem. When going forwards you can feel the drag.
If in neutral you rock her forwards (pushing on rear wheels) she brings up solid with a clunk from rear left hub. The brake push rod going into the axle feels free enough, as does the handbrake.
How do these brakes work anyway?
Why should she run freely backwards and not forwards?
Ideas greatly appreciated

Hi,

The brakes have an expander between two brake discs. If you've backed off the 19mm adjuster and the handbrake rod at the bottom is free, then there is an internal problem.
Reasons could be:- weak return springs, rusty balls in expander, brake discs broken up or the bolts loose on the brake assy.

Mike
