I'm having brake trouble. If the cylinders are dry underneath the dash, where would the fluid be leaking out? I'm assuming it would be on the wheel-end, but what would be the best way to take that apart to check. Thanks.
You probable have this resolved by now but if not this should help .
If the leak is from the master cylinders remove the cover that goes from left to right inder the steering collum. The turn licks will open it. On the right you should see the master cyclinder rods join the peddle. Pull back the rubber boots and if they are dry behind it is not the masters. Check also the lines above to the resivior as it is straight above.
If this is not the problem it must be the slave cylinders which means you need to pull of the final drive. Not a huge job but a little more complicated with some lifting gear require, You will need a reasonble workshop for this.
Also remember the clutch uses the same fluid so if it leaks it will be the same. The master check the same as the brake, the slave is outside the gearbox.
