Hi, nice forum you got here, I have already found few usefull sulotions to other problems with my 7745 here.

Today I started it, as normal with clutch down and in gear. Engine running fine and no bad sounds. I put it in free, let it run for a few minutes. Then cluched again to reverce, and there was no propulsion. Now I was unable to press down the pedal again, not with normal preasure, so obvious I did not try force it. However it still makes its usuall cranky sounds if I try shifting gears.

I took a peek inside the inspection hatch for the clutch, but I did not turn the clutch around, because it was -20 C, windy and I was a few miles away from my workshop and already freezing my fingers to death. But I think there might be something wrong with the "arms" that keep the clutch plates in place.

So I was wondering, any opinions on what broke ?
Will it be safe to pull it to my garage with another tractor, or should I fix it where it stands ?
Have anyone experience something like a clutch freezing ?

In advance thanks, and sorry for my poor english ;)

Hi

When you try to push the pedal down does anything happen at the slave cylinder piston ? You could try releasing the bleed screw on the slave cylinder to check if the cylinder has stuck.
You should be able to tow it home okay.
Congratulations on the English by the way.

Mike

You can safely tow it when you put the high/low into neutral.

Thanks for the replies. Sorry It took me some time reply again.

Yes it seems like the slave cylinder is faulty. I Disassembled it today, and there was light rust inside the cylinder. On the piston there are 3 furrows, but only 2 of them has rubber seals in them, the center one was emty. It looks like preasure is building up, and the breake fluid does not return when you let go of the clutch pedal.

What force make the piston go back again? I was unable to push it back by hand, so is there some kind of valve that opens when you take the foot of the clutch pedal ?

"The slave cylinder is pushed back by the pressure of the clutch assembly"

I was afraid you might say that, because that is not happening. I can move the clutch lever that goes into the belly of the tractor by hand. Gah ! This means the tractor has to be split, right ?

What info do I need to acuire workshop manual , besides a zetor 7745 ? Or do any of you got a picture of the clutch assembly, would help alot if I knew what to look for.

Hi

No, it doesn't necessarily mean it has to be split. The lever is only pushed back until the release levers reach the end of their travel. Then you can move it further by hand but this movement is irrelevant. Can you move the clutch lever with a bar or an adjustable on the end of it to get more leverage ? If you can then the problem is brake fluid related.

Sorry for the late replies, I am bit bussy these days, lots of things falling apart..

No I can not seem to move the lever futher. The piston on the slave cylinder is fully extended, and still do not push back. So I think the problem must be inside. If there are a spring or something that is broken, can I see it from the inspection hatch ? I realy do not know what to look for, would be great if someone had pictures. Think I will order a workshop manual tomorow :)
