7745 hub

Hi,
I.m looking for some help with a 7745 hub I am trying to remove. I have removed the four bolts on the top and bottom swivel pin plates- after not a little cursing. The top plate/bracket I removed. Now I am looking at another plate (roughly 20 mm thick) with what appears to be the swivel pin bearing end cap in it. This cap has been welded to the plate around its circumference and a hole in the centre filled with belzona type stuff.
Is there anything else holding this plate? There are two tapped holes in it which again appear to be full of belzona.
Both this plate and the bottom plate bracket are very reluctant to move.

Theses swivel plates do get very tight !! If the two threaded holes ar not useable the only way is to drive a chisel into the joint. You can try to persuade the one with a steering arm on it with a good lump hammer. Be careful because you can break the weld where the arm is welded on.(If you do it's no problem to just weld it back on again). If you're thinking of stripping out the hub you will be very lucky to do it without the proper drawing kit.

I got the hub stripped and renewed the big flange - wheel nuts had been loose in the past and chewed the holes - It's back on the tractor now waiting for a new (used) tyre. It was a major job. I think I would have tried welding the rim to the hub if I knew what it was going to be like. But at least it's done "properly" and I won't have to change a wheel on the tractor in the middle of nowhere.
