7745 locked in reverse

I have a older 7745 that is locked in reverse. When you try to move the gear shift it feels like the linkage is out of whack. I plan to tackle this issue soon but need to know if there are specific parts that will be required to fix the problem. Can anyone lend advice or direction?

Hi Tom

It's a common problem when the selectors get worn.
The easy fix is :
Remove dash panels and centre floor section, undo the second from right selector lock (there is a row of 5) and move the selector forward into neutral with a screwdriver. The problem is, it will probably do it again sometime.
The permanent cure is to remove the gearbox cover and fit the selector mod kit.
