synchro was optional on the 1 series of crystal, it became available halfway the first year of production i think... Same thing goes for the 40kmh overdrive transmission, but i'm not sure if the 40kmh automatically means its a synchro... ?
thanks for that info, its just i had a 1990 12145 40k before grate tractor was only crash box, slowing down was a bit of problem, but some one had told me that the 8111 and 9111 with the duncan type cab were syncrho, but they also have a neater size cab , is there any other things i should look out for when buying one of these models or is everything much the same as 8011 and 8111 with the bigger cab
Also beware of the UR2 synchro, the folks at ZTS never asked anything at Zetor , and didnt have any experience at all. Jumping out of 2nd gear (which you normally select when taking off, therefor gets the most synchro wear) is a serious problem with different operators. People who slide it into gear easily from standstill, will keep them ok but if you dont take this caution, they will wear the dog clutches and synchro rings which makes them jump out of gear.
an early UR3 or Forterra would indeed be a better choice if you want 40km synchro..
