Greetings
Sorry if I'm bothering you guys but I have a lot of zetors and a lot of ideas :p I own a zetor 5711 197x something model and then I own a zetor 5011 198x something model. Would it be possible to fit the Cab from the 5011 to my older 5711?

And yes I know I would have to take the old dashboard and tank off the 5711 but my main concern is the clutch and pto

yes, but you would need to change the tube that sticks through the clutch housing, too. The 5011 has a shorter end on the fuel tank side. Furthermore you would need to swap the 3pt and flow adjuster levers too. And clutch and parking brake levers.

So its doable . What about the steering, wouldnt I have to do some adjustments there also?

Yes you need to transplant the steering shaft too, as on a 5011 the steering column is suspended on the dashboard.

But would you not rather split at the clutch housing and swap entire front ends ?

You have a good point there Renze but the reason I'm thinking about going this way is because the 5711 has new brakes but the 5011 has no brakes and the hydraulics are not worth shit. I think I need to change both the hydraulic pump and rings on the main cylinder. But maybe it's just better to fix that up and put the motor of the 5711 on it.

To be honest, i dont see a 5501 engine (3.1 liter) as a big upgrade over the 5001 engine (2.7 liter) with bigger intake valves and better fuel atomisation. My 5718 does not do more than our previous 5245 and is using more fuel.

I owned two 5011 but my 5711 seems to be be stronger and pulls heavy machinery better. But I only bought the 5011 last year and they were both in poor condition so the engines might not be giving as much as they should. We have owned the 5711 for 30 years and it's the only tractor that's been on my farm that has always kept running no matter what :p.

Could you improve the 5711 engine by replacing the heads with heads of a 5011 and fuel injection system or will it not fit? Just playing around with ideas :D

I am not sure if the bigger valve of a x9xx engine will clear the smaller 95mm bore of a 5501 or older engine.

Also 3 cylinder heads have two intake manifold bolts vertical, with a pressed steel manifold. 4 cylinders had a cast aluminium manifold with the bolts slanted.
