Hi,

Can anybody tell me how to switch on the air compressor on a 7745. It seems to me that there is two levers involved in the operation of the compressor. However I cannot seem to be able to shift either one. They are possibly a little seized and I do not want to use force to move them.
I am not sure whether I should pull out the levers or move (twist) them on their own axis.
Dose it matter which one is moved first?
Should the engine be running or not when engaging the compressor?
Would really appreciate help . Front tyre could do with a shot of air.

Thanks.

1. lift up the lever on the compressor. It should move upwards about 6 mm. Keep it up.

2. push in the lever at end of the compressor housing.

keep tractor running at 700 to 800 revs when doing this.

disconnect backwards.

Hi Markku,

Ok, I tried as you suggested, but it did not work. The lever on top of the compressor housing lifts no problem abour 6 to 8 mm.
However the other lever on the side of the housing seems quite stuck. I cannot pull it out or push it in or rotate it in any direction.
What do you think the problem may be?

Thanks

There is engine oil inside the compressor.... So the lever must be rusted from outside ;) Use WD-40 or something and try again. Maybe knok carefully with light hammer.
