Hi folks
I am in the middle of a fuel related challenge with my 5245. It has been stalling after running for 15 or 20 minutes and the glass bowl is full of air. By the time I jump down off the tractor I can see the bowl filling with diesel and I can jump back up and start the tractor again. After it dies the first time it only last a few seconds and then dies again. I have replaced the filters and the seal at the top of the bowl and checked all the hose clamp. Guess I am now into starting at the tank and working my way forward.
I live in Canada and we have a Fastenal store in the area that carries copper washers. It looks to me like the banjo fittings will all use the same size washer - referred to in the manual as 14 X 20 seal ring 97 2177. What I can't find is a size reference for the two rings that are used on the nuts that hold the fuel filters and on the bleeder screw for the fuel filters. Does anyone have this information handy?
Also, I am open to any other suggestions regarding what I should be checking on the fuel supply side. I think (hope) the injector pump is OK as there seems to be lots of power when the tractor is running before it gets really warmed up.
Thanks for your help .
Bob
