I plugged in the engine heater to see if it works and try help it start, but it's killed it. There is nothing from the key when you put them in, nothing no lights etc. The fuses are all ok.
Any ideas?

what engine heater? a few more details would help , tractor age and model would be a good start.:)

ok it was not the core plug heater that caused it but there seems to be something with the ignition lock in my 82 7045.

I think the key barrel is faulty or sticking as sometimes it makes the contact and then it does not. Leave it for a while and then the lights come on and it works again. Its weird.
