Heater for 6341

Hello everyone!
It's been awhile since I've been here and apologize.
Since I've been gone, I have traded my 5211 for a 6341. It's a great tractor and I really enjoy it. I've only had it a couple of weeks and this morning was the first time it was cool enough to use the heater, but it wouldn't work. The AC works great, but I can't get the heater to work. I turned the control to the heat setting but nothing happens.
Is there a valve that's turned off somewhere?

Your problem is that the coolant dont flow through the radiator. There is an mechanical valve https://www.atpmotor.cz/cs/e-shop?sekce=detail_polozky&id_produktu=151843 controlled by a wire that might jumped off, or the valve is blocked (unlikely) or there is a air-lock in the heating system in the roof (most likely). I have had this problem on a MF and the only way to solve this problem was by bleeding the heating system. My 4340 has never had this problem even after changing coolant.

Also, how is the best way to get to the inside unit? Do I raise the roof? If so, how?

On mine 4340 the roof has 4 bolts 2 on each side. I loosen the two in the front and tilt the roof upwards. (Not sure about 6341) After this is done You have access to the heating unit. Warm up the engine with full cab-heating and you can feel if the hoses in and out to/from the radiator become hot.

no heat in the heater could also be a sign of a bad head gasket. if heater looses its heat its the first sign of a head gasket about to blow. had same problem on a 7341 superturbo.

Wouldn't there be other signs like water in the oil , overheating, bypass, etc?

you might get other symptoms, the engine can get rid of water by bloving it out the bypass on the radiator cap. check to see if hoses from radiator is hard when engine is at normal working temperature. this indicates that exhaust gas is coming in to the cooling system and make a high pressure. eventually you will see temperature that goes up and Down like a jo-jo. All this is sign of head gasket problems. its not usual that oil gets in water or wice versa. its exhaust that gets in the water and pressurizes it.

I'll check it out. But wouldn't it eventually run out of coolant? Or be pretty low on coolant?

you put a pressure tester where the radiator cap is. you pressurize cooling system and wait to see if pressure drops or if it stays. wery hard hoses are also a sure sign.

I don't have a radiator cap, closed system - but I do have a reservoir. There is no antifreeze lost from the reservoir.

Wouldn't the cab heater at least start to get warm even if it had a head gasket issue?

reservoir cap or radiator cap the pressure tester fits either. yes it can get hot but it wil come and go. feel the hoses to the heater if they are hot its most probably the shut off valve in the roof.

there is two on some there is four bolts. two up besides the roof lights and one over each door 13 mm head i think skrev them out and lift roof up its hinged in the back you need a stick of Wood about 50 cm long to make it stay upright.

I raised the roof and found that the control cable bracket was broken and the little gear in the knob.


I went down to the parts store and picked up an old school throttle cable, drilled a hole, cut the new cable to length and installed it instead. Thanks for all your help !
It's the little round knob to the right.
