question Injection pipes - function of the three clamps?

On the injectionpipes just above the injectionpump there are three clamps fitting the pipes together. What function do they have and is the possision critical ? After replasing the 4 pipes to new ones the clamps do not fit 100% and I do not whant to bend. We talking about 3 mm.

Our old Leyland used to have hose clips joint together around the injector pipes and even at that they were like spaghetti as someone changed them with homemade ones. So clamps keep things neat and straight.
