Hi Guys, im new to this forum and would be very grateful of some advice on zetor 7745 brakes.
Basically i have an elderly friend who has long since retired from farming, he owns a 1993 zetor 7745, that has seen much much better days, that he uses to collect his fire wood from his woods.
He has long since been operating this machine with no brakes at all until scaring the c**p out of himself the other day and requesting my assistance.
I am a marine engineer by trade, so i know how to swing a spanner, and blooming big ones at that, but my knowledge of tractors goes as far as they have diesel engines and big fasteners.
So far i have partially un-seized the mechanism for the hand brake but have not taken anything apart, just lubed and worked the rods.
Any advice on how to progress the freeing up of sized handbrake would be great. (the mechanism is seized but the brakes are not seized on, the tractor drives fine)
Also, the foot brakes do nothing, the peddle has feeling to it, each peddle seems to operate the slave cylinder on the back axle but the rods that go into the back axle do not move, the arms from the slaves just slide back and forth on them?
Do i need to strip the back axle down or can i attempt to free these rods in any other way?
Any words of advice will be greatly appreciated
