Hi Folks - it's been a while!
Well it looks like the time has come for me to change the piston rings on my '78 6945.
I was out ploughing yesterday and had to keep one door and the rear window open otherwise the cab was filling up with blue smoke from the crankcase breather
From the manual it looks like a fairly straightforward job - is there anything I should know though before starting work? Am I likely to need anthing other than a set of rings and head and sump gaskets?
Any other pointers, or anything else I should bear in mind? The engine has about 5300 hours if the clock can be believed.
Many thanks
J-P
