Hi, I have a zetor crystal 8011. I am looking at a 6 cylinder Perkins engine from a dodge truck. Was just wondering if this would fit? Would it be a big job to put in? Clutch set up ect..
Any advice would be appreciated
Actually Skoda UK back in the day, offered a 8011 with the A6.354 The hood length is about right for the Perkins. Thats also the reason that a Zetor turbo 4 gets more reliable hp than a Perkins turbo 6, above 130hp the A6.354 heads cracked often, which is the reason MF went with Valmet engines in high horsepower models.
Ursus had the C-3110 which was a C-385 with Perkins
Its certainly possible to put an A6.354 in, though only an Englishman would do it
Dont know if it bolts straight in, or that you have to make a backplate. Clutch will take it, 4 cylinder clutches were all the same and they took 105 PTO hp (125-130 crankshaft hp) which the Perkins wont deliver without a turbo.
