steering issues zetor 5211

Are you saying that the steering wheel is turning without the wheels steering? if so you could have worn splines on the shaft coming down from the wheel or the steering gear in the box, or the key has come out of the wheel under the cap or maybe the track rod end has rung off

Also check the ram end hasn't broke off.

wheel just spins but tires do not move am going to take it all apart tomorrow and see what i can see it is definitely in the box nothing wrong with the ram or the lines so i will see what i can in the morning it is -15 up here in northern ontario so pain in the butt as it is way out in the field stuck in the snow

Ya that sounds like something is worn between the steering wheel before the ram, either the shaft or in the box. Your having it cold to work in, it's been a mild winter so far here in Ireland, I say its +15 today.

Inside the steering gearbox is a ball screw and nut, if the return pipe come loose the balls comes out and the steering wheel just spinn free.
