Hello everybody!
I have an issue with my transmission in 6211. The transmission is quiet untill it warms up, than it develops quite a nasty rattling sound which can be heard in the video. It gets even worse when in using the engine brake for example when im hauling slurry. The whole tractor starts to shake, feels like a bearing has gone out completely. I drained the trans oil, checked the magnet on the drain plug and there was limited ammount of shavings which i believe is from gears grinding when shifting. Could it be a broken tooth off a gear or something way more serious? Tractor has about 4200hrs. Thanks for recommendations.

Honestly, don't let it run like that, take the gearbox cover off and check that everything is OK. First drain the oil and run it through a sieve to see if you can find any metal parts.

It has been making this sound for the last year when i heard a bang while mowing, sounded like a rock hitting the rim. I did filter the oil and there was nothing in it. Maybe a tooth on one of the gears broke and got lodged between the teeth. The noise isnt getting any louder despite having worked around 350hrs this year. There is no whistling sound coming from it which would indicate a failing bearing. I will take the top cover off in the winter when i will not need the tractor.
