question trouble with fuel system - Zetor 3340

Hi Joachim,
I have an intermittent fuel leak from the glass fuel bowl by the fuel injector.
It leaks after setting for a time and/or mostly when it is very cold out.
This leak has been fixing itself after the engine warms up.
Also because the loader frame and hydraulic lines are blocking access to it,
I am thinking I will need to drop the loader frame from the tractor to be able to get to it.
As you can see in the first picture, you can see it, but you can not get your hands in there even to touch it.
Do you have the Part Number for this O-ring seal ?

I am not knowing what UR2 is.

  Its replaceable with the better one from Bosch (its bigger, withe plastic, finer and bigger mesh, 3,98 € with VAT at my shop)
  You have the to shorten the spring, but its easy to make.

No need to buy the glass or more and to import them, should have every Zetor dealer in the US market in mass.
And yes, its the same from Zetor 2011 to Zetor 7341 Turbo and UR2 also.

I know and we both know the prices in CZ I think so.
3,50 € without German VAT are 2,94 €
5,00 € without Irish VAT are 4,00 €
It would be interesting to compare all the additional costs (not just VAT), as many people generally believe that these are among the highest in Europe in Germany.

But as we can see right now, when it comes to trade, we can be thankful to have the EU and not get lost in tariff wars.

Yes, spare parts prices for parts out of Europe are in the US market much higher because of the import regulations and limitations. I see often US prices for European spare parts and are shocked about.

The sealing ring should be replaced every time you clean the strainer. It's also important to make sure the knurled nut at the bottom of the bracket is centered when tightening it.

By the way, some of my customers simply install an inline pre-filter instead of the glass pre-filter; that's exactly what Zetor does with its Proxima, for example. They're available everywhere, cheaper, and quick to replace. What's more, the paper filter in the inline filter is usually finer, thus providing better protection for the feed pump.

But as we've seen for some time now with Tesla, John Deere, and Harley Davidson, and are currently seeing again, production costs in the US are comparatively high, especially since you always have to consider the country from which the purchased parts come. What's the point of Zetor "production" in the US if the purchased parts (and there are an extremely large number of them for the new Zetor models) all come from the EU, meaning the tariff war hits hard anyway?
Zetor is a Czech brand (yes, even if the owner is now a Slovak, and that upsets quite a few Czechs), and that's a good thing.
It's enough that Agco has bought into Fendt, Valtra, MF, etc.
The US market is large, but also smaller than the rest of the world combined.
Zetor currently produces in the Czech Republic and India.
John Deere probably in the USA, Mexico, India, and Germany (here also only through the acquisition of Lanz), Case IH similarly, although the Neuss plant was unfortunately closed, although the Neuss-based Case still enjoys an extremely good reputation among experts, as did the Fendt Favorit series before Agco came along.

I think it's generally unhealthy for consumers when the number of producers decreases, because they then have considerably more power in the market to impose their price expectations.
What happens when individuals accumulate too much money and use it to buy power is unfortunately something we can currently see, for example, with Musk and others. No one needs billions for themselves; that's simply sick and a threat to democracy.

May need to be careful if buying a CCP China made filter as the fuel filter material may break apart and destroy the Zetor fuel system.
It is not good the trust cheep parts made by the CCP !

I've been using MANN filters for ages, and none of them have ever broken. Zetor itself used MANN inline filters for a while.
And even if one were to fail, in the worst case, it would affect the diesel feed pump, and maybe the diesel filter, but almost certainly not the injection pump.
Furthermore, the MANN filter was just an example, and the original Zetor part number is right next to it.

By the way, the ORIGINAL Motorpal hand feed pumps came from BOSCH until the beginning of 2024... made in China. Most BOSCH V-belts are made in China, etc.
