What to check for when buying a Zetor 5748

Hi there,
I farm near Cardiff in Wales. I'm going to view a Zetor 5748 4wd with loader for sale and if it's good enough order I'd like to run it on our small holding. Are there any particular problems with this model I should look more closely at, other than doing all the normal checks on a used tractor?

Seeing as the tractor is at least 40 year old I say you need a good check over, rust in cab, selector in HI/LO, brakes and I think if there's a loader on it you want to check the front axle, steering and 4WD.

Those models were pretty bomb proof, but as said, with a loader you better check the steering system. The steering box often gets worn too, despite powersteering. And the front axle pivot, jack it up with the loader and see if it has play.
