Dads got a 1990 Zetor 7245 on a loader. It gets used every day of the year to feed the cows. But unlike his other Zetors (5711 and 5945) it need the lift pump priming to start. The other 2 you just press the cold start (and his other past Zetors (6711, 3511). If he doesn't it takes alot of winding for it to fire, where the others go straight away. is this normal or do we have a problem. I'm thinking injectors.

The fuel tank is below the injection pump & when the engine is not running the fuel lines are under a light vacuum & air is drawn into the system. Check all the fuel hoses including leak off pipes on injectors for leaks

The new versions not just had the new automatic cold start button mechanism, but also the low placed fuel tank, causing the fuel to flow back to the tank.
As known widely, Czech rubber isn't the best, it gets porous. Maybe a replacement of fuel suction hoses is needed.

Another cause for leaks is the fuel feed pump. check it too..
