This annoying thing happens with my 7245 and after speaking to my dealer he told me it is some seal in the backend somewhere leaking and is expensive to sort. Since then i have just had to bear it.

Yes, many of them have these minor internal leaks.
Not a real problem, the position control corrects itself and no oil is leaking to outside the tranny.
....You say continous pump action... Do you hace draft force control engaged ?? The small lever saying p-m-s is position-mixed and draft control.

I had that happen on our old 6748.As we have a 900kg counterweight for the loader it had to be fixed.The Lift piston and barrel were OK and she only needed new seals costing pennies.But the labour to strip out the cab and remove the top cover was pretty high.If you have the time and knowledge to do it yourself it would be a cheap repair.

Crystalman, are you sure that the complete cab has to be taken off to be able to take off the lift housing ??
I think maybe just removing the cab floor is enough ??
What seals did you replace btw ?? the lift piston rings ??

Renze - what position does the draft force lever have to be in when operating and working with the rear hydraulic arms.
I also understand that of the 3 levers below the seat the centre one has to be turned to the left , with the left hand one being forward (is there two forward positions on this). Obviously the right hand one is high and low ratio.
Apologies for my ignorance however I'am unsure if the problem experienced is a fault or my understanding of the hydraulics operation.

That's right Renze,there were just a few floor panels to remove and that extremely heavy Zetor air seat that the early models have.We did just need the piston ram seals changing and of course the rubber O ring that goes between the transmission casing and the hydraulic top cover.Now you can switch off the engine and the weight will stay up for a long while-not recommended on a regular basis! Earlier this year I had to fit a new seal on the pump outlet under the tractor as it was leaking oil due to some rather heavy big bales.After trying various alternatives and different sealing washers including one with a rubber seal inside which one worked best? Yes-the original Zetor blanking plug with a brand new Zetor copper washer

Our 5245 has a lift problem, the Zetormatic control lever is stuck as a house, and the position lever has more friction in the upper end of the travel. In that end, the oil flow also seems to be obstructed. Could this be caused by the additional Zetormatic control valve, that is stuck inside the main lift valve and therefor jerking with the lift ?
Not many people seem to recognise this, i have had no time to go and have an inside look for myself, but this winter i want to fix it all the way, we bought it 4 years ago and it was already in a very poor serviced condition when we got it.
Our 5245 has a lift problem, the Zetormatic control lever is stuck as a house, and the position lever has more friction in the upper end of the travel. yes my 7745 hydraulics do the same as Richards - very annoting. In my experience all Zetor tractors seem to have weak hydraulic seals and hoses.The hydraulics on the 7745 are sagging alot at the moment. The oil pressure seems ok, there is enough oil in the resevoir and the system is not leaking. How can i fix it Doc?

You can remove the floor panel with some bolts, so you can take off the floor including the chair in once.
Then you should find a place to attach a rope or something else to make lifting off the hitch cover easier, it weighs about 100 kg i think. (do not forget to release the bolts before attempting to lift it off )
On the bottom side of the hitch cover, the lift cylinder is mounted with bolts, it has now pivoting points, it's rigid mounted. It is connected to the hitch arm crank by a rod with two ball heads that pushes the crank. it hink it's not too hard to release the bolts from there, i think the lift piston will just slide out of the cylinder with no obstructions (but i havent done this before, just my expectations)

Renze-I take it you mean the D-M-P lever is stuck? Or is it the main lift lever? It may be a stuck valve with pressure trapped in the system somewhere.Or there may be some rust on the shafts of the levers where they go one inside the other.I know that on my MF 135 scraper tractor it has recently started to seize its levers solid if you leave it for a few weeks despite oiling everything.

Yes it's the D-M-P lever, or S-M-P lever as the markings say.
The lift is pretty well used, we have a 2 meter wide transport bucket, last two years i have used it often for landscaping, paveing the yard (finally after all those years of mud) and digging. My father isn't happy with this but it's lots cheaper than hiring a wheel loader or excavator all the time.
I have reinforced the bucket, and replaced some sheets last year, but the tractor needs some work too, this winter.
It has intermittently been in knee-deep mud and hog shit the last years, the brakes are worn because the housings are full of shit.

Maybe your lever has just seized up through lack of use? Pig muck and water will seize anything up in a short time-especially if you only use the lever every couple of years!

Yes... nothing more corrosive and erosive than hog muck.
The zetormatic lever was stuck when we bought it. Yhat was 3 years before it entered the hog muck. When we had the foot and mouth disease, no hogs allowed to move through our area so we had to keep them. We had hogs all over the yard, in a dead end between two barns. mud was 50 cm deep, i had it stuck a few times, hanging on teh belly and the wheels turning free....

Our 6245 and 7745 does have the lifting cylinder that is outside the transmission house. This cylinder has bad quality seals and replacing those seal the problem can be fixed. I THINK:-x
I have been replaced those seals allmost all of our Zetors after about 3000 hours use........... Not expensive to try this solution first.
