Can anyone tell me where the glow plug controller is ? I'm not getting any power to the plugs. I have changed the relay located between the dash and windshield. My manual shows the controller location under the dash by the flasher but its not there. I have taken all the panels off of thr dash but I still can't find the controller. The part number is 7001 and I have purchased a new controller but at a loss as to where it goes. I have checked all the fuses and getting power to the relay

I have bad cold starting on 8540. Changed control box 12 months ago. Had another look today.... I get voltage all the time ignition is on from this control box to the glowplugs. Dashboard light goes out after 20 secs. pre-heat; but voltage too plugs is constant all time engine is running and cold start is only possible with Bradex easy-start. Are glow plugs shot and /or controller box (which is not cheap @100) ?

Hi

As you have voltage to the plugs constantly you must have a sticking control box. Now that it will not start from cold, the plugs are probably burnt out as they have been stuck on for too long, due to the stick controller. You can check the plugs without taking them out, by disconnecting the link wires and checking the plugs resistance with a meter.

I found the controller I think. The problem is the cotroller Zetor sent me looks nothing like the one on my tractor. The part# of the one on my tractor is PA6 GE30 it has two good sized leads plus a 6 prong plug in. The one they sent has only the 6 prong plug in and the part# ends in 7006. The part I removed sets in front of the battery next to the horn. Can anyone help me out on this?

Hi

You have removed the correct part. It sounds like they may have sent you one for a 11741 (part no. 17 359 909). The Zetor part number you need is 13 350 911.
You just can't get the staff nowadays !!
