Hi all,,my zts 12245 has (what i thought) the old type steering ie.long shaft running down the side of the engine,,is it a major job to change it to hydrostatic?? And what sort of price??😐

I doubt they ever sold the 2 series with the old Polish powersteering ?

I will admit that im not well up on these tractors, but does the polish power steering have the long shaft running down along the engine as opposed to an orbitrol unit under the steering wheel??

Yes, thats the power assist, as opposed to fully hydrostatic (orbitrol) powersteering. They sold them first with an Orsta orbitrol and later a Danfoss, if i'm right. The UR1 models werent sold with power assist since the 1992 upgrade.

Ok thanks,so whats involved in upgrading to orbitrol steering Renze?is it a big job or is it straightforward ?

Are you sure you dont have the orbirtol?? It can be fitted in front of the radiator. Is there a steering rod or hydraulic cylinder on the right side of the front axle?

There is 3 different solutions. Power assistant steering, and 2 type hydraulic steering solutions. Another hydraulic system has orbitrol at front of the tractor. Another has orbitrol under steering valve. But i dont know did zetor ever built version where orbitrol is under steering wheel. And if its only solution for last ZTS tractors, how is parts available nowdays?
