Be a waste of time, Dromone don't do spare parts for old hitches. I tried them earlier this year. They don't even sell the pick up hooks. I got it from QTP.
The hitch on this one was only fitted on tractors in Ireland in the mid 80's before all zetors from then on were fitted with Dromone hitches. These ones were a combi type as they allow you to use the straight bar along with the pick up. Where as the earlier ones were a job and half to swap over...
I have Irish tractor calendar here came in the post this morning. It is has the right month for the right job on the farm. I thought you were interested in the 5011 book when you asked me about the pictures in the book?
They look more like a Dromone hitch, with the locking hooks at the side. The one above is completely different locking as the hooks are higher up than the Dromone style. All my others zetors all have Dromone hitches. My HSX has a Dromone hydraulic telescopic hitch, with a short hook and drawbar.
Yes, and see too if a battery connection has a crack in it, the tractor might start fine if your using it everyday, but if you only start it once a week or in cold weather, when you go start all you get is click click click click.
I had one of these starters, it came on one of the 8111 I bought...
This 8045 has been driven for many many years with no exhaust pipe and now everything under the bonnet is cover in soot. and it was snowing today and the soot was wet and made everything very messy to touch. Also with no exhaust everything smells of smoke fumes and is black, even in the air filter.
My job for my digger for most of the summer is, loading and unloading and stacking round bales of silage. First in the field onto my trailer and then unload in the yard and stack beside my cattle shed. So I have planned out where I do the most of the driving to the left, and don't need to steer...
The 8045 I collected on Saturday, has an unusual pick up hitch on it. I have never seen this style hitch before. It looks like a Dromone style one and the pick up hook slides in very similar to a Dromone too. But the locking it completely different, but very secure once it's closed. The lift...
My digger is like that, It steers lovely to the left but try turn right and you want strength like king kong. I jacked it up off the ground and the steering is lovely both ways, but as soon as it hits the ground, it's not lovely and will only steer when moving. I haven't done anything to it...
I seen all white Case David Brown or white and orange David Brown or red Case David Brown before they became Case International or now just Case. Not every farm had a tractor in Ireland until the late 1960's because horses were still being used after WW11, as there was no diesel. So when...
She's going like a clock, pity if it needs an operation. It's 40k box, I might take the engine out and just use the backend and cab and just fit in another engine.
Yes it's an 8045. Don't know yet, what to do with it. Park it in the shed for now, and see come warmer weather. All older zetors are getting so rare in Ireland now, I might just put together my own personal collection of tractors.
Ya I never seen an orange Case, they are before my time. We had Zetors on the farm since 1977, before that we had Fords, but I have nearly no memory of them. There was very few old tractors in Ireland used on a regular basis on farms. Some people have vintage tractors but not really for farm use.
