Only major leak I have left to fix is the power steering cylinder that is located on the right hand side of the tractor behind the axle.
I picked up new seal kit from the dealer and I'm about to do the change. I noticed the piston rod is slightly bent with a couple small dents - don't think its enough to bother anything major.
(I have log splitter cylinder that has more rust and dents on the piston than a Zetor cab and it works great)
Any wisdom of what to watch out for or tricks of the trade in changing out the seal kit ?
The leak is through the front dust shield by the way. I already fixed the hydraulic connection hose leaks with new copper washers.
For reference, I checked the price of a new cylinder and was quoted $1,100 CDN. Thats about $825 US (WHAT A RIP OFF!)
Seal kit was real cheap next to this. Appeciate any expert advice you could give and what to watch for.
