Hey guys, I'm a new member to this site but happy I stumbled across it!
Recently bought a 6911 (UR1 series) with some major wiring issues. I reckon it has been rewired twice, poorly. Both times the old wiring loom was left in it...which meant there was actually 3 looms in total sitting in it. So I bought myself a new wiring loom, if anybody wants to know where I bought it comment below, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to give out company names as I'm still a bit unfamiliar with the rules.

Unfortunately, there was no wiring for the brake lights and I can't find anywhere that will tell me how they work. How or what activates the brake lights as you press the brake pedal?

Any help greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!n

if its the same as a 6711 the brake pedals are connected to two master cylinders , accross the back of the master cylinders theres a balence valve on one end of the valve theres a pressure switch . two spade terminals on it , normally open, closed when theres pressure in the brake lines.
fused supply to one terminal , other terminal to the brake lights.

Thanks for the reply.

Went rooting around and found it. Unfortunately, one of the spade connections is broken. Typical. Any ideas on how to fix it, or can i get a replacement nut with the spade connectors?

dont worry about the rules, we dont do much rules here, because rules just spoil the fun. You can say "i am somehwhat disappointed by supplier xx" if thats how you feel. As long as its within reason, no need to bash people who work for their money, just like each of us does...

Same goes if you are statisfied about a company, its good to hear from statisfied customers. Just if people are spamming the forum with over-the-top praisings of a company, which leads to think they are affilliated with, you will get a comment from one or the other member..

Only a downright asshole without reason would get banned from this forum. As long as people can talk about things like grownups, we can all get along with each other ;)
